The new national standard electric bicycle charger equipped with Reactor micro AC-DC power chip is now on the market!
From July 1 this year, GB 42296-2022 safety technical requirements for chargers for electric bicycles was officially implemented. The new national standard first standardized the charging interface of electric bicycles, designed two types of plugs, which are physically not universal to avoid misuse, and aims to solve the confusion of plugs with different shapes and specifications in the market.

Secondly, the new national standard abandons the old fool type direct power supply mode and compulsorily adopts the "communication protocol" mode of charging. Referring to the practice of unified physical interface and different unified modes between mobile phones and new energy vehicles, the charger needs to shake hands with the battery before charging, so as to eliminate potential safety hazards caused by mismatch and further improve safety.

At present, the number of electric vehicles in China is close to 300million, and there are about 2000 fires related to electric bicycles every year, 80% of which are caused by charging. The huge market poses a huge test to the safety and security. The release of the new national standard is bound to reshuffle the electric bicycle charger market, which needs safer and better performance products.
Therefore, as early as last year, when the new national standard was issued, the major first-line electric vehicle charger manufacturers have begun to update their products in accordance with the new national standard. The key is to use the AC-DC power supply design that supports the "general agreement" and conforms to the new national standard. In the second half of this year, the new national standard began to be implemented, and a number of first-line brands of electric bicycles equipped with 100-300w Yacheng micro AC-DC power supply solutions have been put on sale.
