As a leader in the localization of intelligent power switches, Reactor-Micro initiated the research and development of smart high-side switches in 2018. In terms of both the quantity of products and their maturity, it maintains a leading position in the domestic market. Its high-side switch products, especially those applied in the commercial vehicle field (24V system), have demonstrated outstanding performance. We will showcase the product layout of Reactor-Micro's intelligent high-side switches in the commercial vehicle field from the following four dimensions.
In terms of load current, Reactor-Micro's high-side switch products achieve multi-level coverage. From the RM7601KSS with a minimum load current as low as 0.2A (min) to the RM76003TS with a maximum load current of 25A, products of various current levels within this range are available. This can fully meet the applications in different load scenarios of commercial vehicles.
In terms of the diagnostic feedback function, Reactor-Micro offers a rich variety of product types. Customers who pursue high cost-effectiveness can choose the high-side switches without feedback, such as the RM75150. In scenarios where precise current monitoring is required, analog products like the RM77020T4S can provide real-time data feedback through the IS current signal. For applications that focus on monitoring the operating status of the load, products with ST level fault feedback, such as the RM77090DD, can promptly output fault signals, helping the system to quickly troubleshoot problems.
In response to different load characteristics, Reactor-Micro adopts a differentiated design in protection modes. For small - current loads, the high - side switches mostly use the OTP self - recovery mode, represented by the RM75200. This mode allows the device to automatically attempt recovery after the temperature becomes too high. For high - current loads, the high - side switches use the OTP lock - out mode, such as the RM77007TSP1, which can quickly lock in case of a fault to prevent device damage caused by overheating.
In terms of short - circuit protection, the products cover two modes: current limiting and lock - out. For example, the RM77200DQ limits the short - circuit current through current - limiting protection, while the RM77030DD directly locks out and turns off the output to prevent device damage.
In terms of the design of the number of channels, Reactor-Micro's intelligent high-side switches offer various types such as single-channel, dual-channel, and four-channel. The single-channel RM77030DS is suitable for the control of a single load; the dual-channel RM77100DD can manage two loads simultaneously; and the four-channel RM76090SQ further improves the degree of integration. In addition, based on actual application requirements, our company has arranged an 8-channel type in the low-side switch products, providing customers with a richer range of choices.
