RM74067TQ is a 12V/75mΩ/4-channel intelligent high-side switch that integrates multiple protection functions such as overvoltage, overtemperature, current limiting, and short circuit protection. It is widely used in automotive electronics and industrial fields. Key feature introduction:
1. Open circuit detection timing sequence in OFF state - load disconnected
In the open load diagnosis in the OFF state, a waiting period of TIS(OLOFF)_D must be observed between the falling edge of the input pin (IN) and the detection action of the IS pin to ensure the stability of the internal comparator. The following diagram illustrates the timing sequence of open load detection, during which the load remains disconnected at all times.

2. Detection timing sequence under short-circuit condition
RM74067TQ incorporates a short-circuit current limiting circuit internally. When a short circuit occurs or the overload current rises instantaneously, if the output current exceeds the overload threshold, its internal power MOSFET will immediately shut down. At the onset of a fault, the chip will perform four rapid restarts for recovery. If the short circuit persists after four restarts, the chip will reduce the retry frequency and switch to intermittent restarts. The maximum retry cycle count for the chip is two cycles. When this limit is reached, the chip will completely shut down the output of that channel and enter a locked state.

In the automotive electronics field, RM74067TQ is suitable for use in ECU modules such as body control modules (BCM) and vehicle control units (VCU) for passenger vehicles. It covers the control of small-power motors for seat heating pads, ventilation fans, and seat front/rear/backrest adjustments; the control of window lifting motors (with anti-pinch algorithms), sunroof opening and closing motors; the control of low/high speed gears for front/rear windshield wipers, as well as glass cleaning fluid pumps; the control of turn signals, daytime running lights (DRL), taillights, brake lights; the control of interior ambient lights, dome lights, glove box lights, trunk lights, etc. At the same time, it can replace traditional micro relays to achieve intelligent power distribution for various small-power actuators (such as central locking systems, horns, reversing radar probes).
